Background
An engineer’s training, a builder’s career.
Ben began on residential job sites in 1995 and went on to earn a civil engineering degree at Purdue. He spent the first years of his career on institutional work, where the margin for error is narrow: hospitals and medical buildings with dense mechanical, electrical and life-safety systems, built and renovated while occupied, under continuous inspection.
He then managed heavy utility and streetscape work in Florida: drainage, underground utilities and the civil work most builders leave to others. Since founding Hoadley Construction in 2010 he has applied that discipline to estates, residences and commercial projects in Palm Beach County.
The result is a builder who reads structural, mechanical and civil drawings as an engineer would; who plans for flood, wind and the systems a serious building depends on; and who runs every project personally.

In Florida, Hoadley Construction, LLC builds as a Florida Certified General Contractor: residential, commercial and investment projects, from tenant improvements to ground-up construction, with construction management and owner’s representation.
Outside Florida,Ben serves as owner’s representative on projects of $10 million and more, residential, commercial or investment. The owner contracts directly with the local builder; Ben advises on the owner’s behalf through design, procurement and construction. In states that do not license general contractors at the state level, and subject to local licensing, Hoadley Construction can also lead the construction itself.
