Spaces · Garages & Galleries
A garage built to the collection.
Car galleries and lift bays, attached or freestanding, planned around what you own and how you use it.

A collector’s garage is a structure, a mechanical system and a gallery at once. The lift locations set the slab. The collection sets the clearances. The way you use the space sets the light, the air and the rooms around it.
Those requirements are settled with the design team before the first drawing is issued, so nothing is retrofitted after the cars arrive.
Structure
- A thickened, lift-rated slab at every four-post and two-post location, laid out from the lift manufacturer’s anchor requirements before the pour, not cut in after.
- Ceiling height and door openings sized for stacked lifts and tall vehicles, with clear spans and no center columns in the way.
- Turntables, and car lifts to a lower level, where the site and the collection call for them.
Surfaces
- Polished concrete or a polyaspartic floor, sloped to trench drains at the wash and detail bay.
- Diamond-plate wainscot, slatwall and steel cabinetry, with display walls for automobilia and memorabilia.
- Gallery lighting with high color rendering, so paint reads true under the lights.
Systems
- Conditioning and dehumidification sized for the space itself, not borrowed from the house.
- A battery-tender circuit at every bay, Level 2 charging and compressed-air drops where the work happens.
- Security, cameras and fire protection matched to the value of what is parked inside.
Rooms around the collection
- A lounge or bar behind a glass wall, overlooking the floor.
- A racing-simulator room, a wine cellar, a watch room.
- A detailing bay, parts storage and a proper workbench.
Often overlooked
Worth settling before anything is drawn.
- The wall between a garage and living space is a required fire separation. A glass wall there is detailed with rated glazing and reviewed with the building official early.
- Exhaust extraction at the bays, so a car can be started and warmed indoors without filling the room.
- Leak and humidity sensors that report to your phone, not just a thermostat on the wall.
- Large openings carry real wind load. In South Florida, impact-rated doors at that size shape the structure around them.
Design is coordinated with the architect, engineers and designers suited to the project, whether you have engaged them already or would like introductions. An asset from the collection may be applied toward the work.
